The basis for this is as follows:<\/SPAN><\/P><P><SPAN>a. The provisions of the \u2018Town and Country Planning (safeguarded aerodromes, technical sites and military explosives storage areas) Direction 2002\u2019 and DfT Circular, 1/2003 require licensed aerodromes to protect their locations from the effects of possible adverse development.<\/SPAN><\/P><P><SPAN>b. The Civil Aviation Authority requires all licensed aerodromes to comply with the provisions of its Civil Aviation Publication, CAP168  \u2018Licensing of Aerodromes\u2019 which sets out the geometry for the OLS.<\/SPAN><\/P><P><SPAN>c.
