Description: Email to Jo from Vikki Teasdale (Sustainable Drainage Officer, Strategic Flood Management Team, Transport Economy Environment)I think there may be some confusion, we consider ordinary watercourses to include every river, stream, ditch, drain, cut, dike/dyke, sluice, sewer (other than a public sewer) and passage through which water flows and which does not form part of a main river. We have an interactive map on our website which may be helpful, it contains all Main Rivers and most of the ordinary watercourses. Please note that some ordinary watercourses will not be marked on the map; please assume that if the water body you’re looking at is not marked as main river, then it counts as an ordinary watercourse.
