<DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><P><SPAN>The Denham Airport Safeguarding Requirements and Arrangements sets out information for Local Planning Authorities to use to decide when Denham Airport should be consulted on a planning application and given the opportunity to comment on it. The basis for this is as follows:</SPAN></P><P><SPAN>a. The provisions of the ‘Town and Country Planning (safeguarded aerodromes, technical sites and military explosives storage areas) Direction 2002’ and DfT Circular, 1/2003 require licensed aerodromes to protect their locations from the effects of possible adverse development.</SPAN></P><P><SPAN>b. The Civil Aviation Authority requires all licensed aerodromes to comply with the provisions of its Civil Aviation Publication, CAP168 ‘Licensing of Aerodromes’ which sets out the geometry for the OLS.</SPAN></P><P><SPAN>c. Civil Aviation Publication, CAP 738 Safeguarding of Aerodromes’, October 2020, states that the Aerodrome Operator is responsible for safeguarding and that the operator holds ‘expert opinion on safeguarding their site’ in compliance with regulatory safeguarding requirements.</SPAN></P><P><SPAN>Contact: Ann Bartaby (ann@bartaby.org / 01747 850007).</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV> |
